Pronounced HEER-eyeth, Hiraeth is taken from the Welsh language to which there is no exact English translation. The closest English definition is a "Homesickness" or "Longing."
Welsh lore describes this feeling as "a Deep, Indeterminable Bond for a Place, a Time, an Era or a person that runs Deeper than any Emotion."
